Privacy Policy — Bytekind
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Bytekind (bytekind.org) is operated by Taylor Acquisitions LLC ("Bytekind," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name and email when you subscribe to Bytekind Notes, contact us, or buy a plan; the text, files or details you enter into our tools.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, used to keep the site working and improve it. We use privacy-friendly analytics where possible.
How we use it
To run the tools you ask for, send the newsletter you signed up for, process payments, answer questions, keep the site secure, and improve our tools. We do not sell your personal information.
What you enter into the tools
Content you enter (such as donor names, volunteer details, grant notes or code) is used only to provide the result you requested. Please avoid entering sensitive personal data you don't need to share. We do not use your content to advertise to you.
Who we share with
Only the service providers that help us run Bytekind, such as hosting (Cloudflare), email newsletters (Beehiiv) and payments (Stripe), each bound to protect your information. We may also share information if required by law.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the site work and limited analytics cookies to understand usage. You can block cookies in your browser; some features may not work as well.
Sponsors
Sponsor cards and newsletter mentions are clearly labeled. Clicking a sponsor link takes you to their site, which has its own privacy policy.
Keeping data
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing info@bytekind.org. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights, and we will honor them.
Children
Bytekind is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service is perfectly secure.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
